Lisianthus (Eustoma)
Lisianthus (eustoma) are delicate, multi-layered flowers that at first glance resemble roses, but are lighter and last up to two weeks in a vase. At Flowers & Lovers we make bouquets with lisianthus in Vilnius – from pastel romantic to green minimalist arrangements.
What lisianthus bouquets we make
We use white, cream, pink, purple and greenish lisianthus from Dutch growers – one stem often carries 3–5 flowers and buds that open in the vase. Lisianthus pairs beautifully with chrysanthemums, eucalyptus, anthuriums and carnations, so you will find it in our romantic, autumnal and vegetative bouquets alike. Every bouquet is wrapped in matte paper and comes with your message.
Caring for lisianthus
Trim the stems diagonally, remove the lower leaves and place the flowers in clean, cool water. Lisianthus is sensitive to ethylene – keep it away from fruit. Pinch off faded flowers so the buds can open. Change the water every 2–3 days. More in our post about eustoma.
