Baby's Breath (Gypsophila)
Gypsophila (baby’s breath) – tiny flowers that together form a light, airy cloud. Once only a companion to roses, today gypsophila is a star of the bouquet in its own right. At Flowers & Lovers we make bouquets with gypsophila in Vilnius – from single-flower “clouds” to contrasting combinations with exotics.
What gypsophila bouquets we make
We use natural white and dyed red, pink or pastel gypsophila from Dutch growers. The most popular is “Red Cloud”, a soft bouquet made entirely of red gypsophila. In combinations, gypsophila softens proteas, lisianthus and eucalyptus. Every bouquet is wrapped in matte paper and comes with your message.
Caring for gypsophila
Gypsophila lasts 1–2 weeks in a vase and then dries beautifully and keeps for months. Trim the stems diagonally, place them in a small amount of clean water and change it every 2–3 days. To dry it, hang the bouquet upside down in a dry place. More in our post about gypsophila.
