Lilies
Lilies are large, fragrant blooms that arrive as buds and open in the vase one by one over several days, so the bouquet looks different every day. At Flowers & Lovers we make bouquets with lilies in Vilnius – elegant, bright, long-lived.
What lily bouquets we make
We use white and pink oriental and LA hybrid lilies from Dutch growers – one stem carries 3–6 buds. Lilies go well with lisianthus, chrysanthemums, anthuriums, hydrangeas and clematis. Every bouquet is wrapped in matte paper and comes with your message.
Caring for lilies
Lilies last up to 2 weeks in a vase. Trim the stems diagonally, remove the lower leaves, place them in clean water and change it every 2–3 days. Once a flower opens, gently remove the stamens – the pollen stains fabric. Remove faded flowers so the other buds can open. Lilies are poisonous to cats.
