Peonies
Peonies are the most eagerly awaited flower of the year: the season lasts only 5–6 weeks, and each bud opens into a fragrant, palm-sized bloom. At Flowers & Lovers we make peony bouquets in Vilnius in May and June – and only when peonies are truly at their best.
What peony bouquets we make
We use Dutch and Lithuanian peonies – coral “Coral Charm”, pink “Sarah Bernhardt”, white “Duchesse de Nemours” and burgundy “Red Charm”. Single-flower bouquets are the most popular, while in spring combinations peonies meet ranunculus, carnations, eucalyptus and craspedia. Before the season we offer peony tulips – the closest alternative. Every bouquet is wrapped in matte paper and comes with your message.
Caring for peonies
Peonies arrive as firm buds and open within 1–3 days; they last 5–8 days in a vase. Trim the stems diagonally, remove the lower leaves, place them in clean, cool water and change it daily. To speed up the blooming, put them in warmer water and light. More in our post about peonies.
Peony bouquets with delivery
Order online – we deliver in Vilnius on the same day and across Lithuania, or collect it at our studio at J. Basanavičiaus g. 20. Peonies suit Mother’s Day, a wedding, an engagement and a birthday in May or June.
